Venkatalakshmi
Born to Tenneti Rama Murty and Subbamma, in the year 1914
she married Jagannadha Rao and moved to Berhampore. Born
in a rich family and brought up as a pampered daughter of
a Tahsildar, she had seen the ups and downs of life but
lived a long and happy life. She had seen the grandchildren
of her eldest son and the third son. Garimellas performed
kanakaabhishekam (felicitations with golden
flowers) to this grand old lady of the family when her grandchild
was blessed with a child in 1992. She had seen 1000 full
moondays sahasra chandra darsanam
and Garimellas celebrated her 84th Birthday in the year
1997. She had seen the shasthipoorthi (completion
of 60 years cycle ) of three sons and a daughter-in-law.
She had seen 8 of her 17 grandchildren getting married.
